Referral Form for Service Providers
Headway Gippsland tailors training sessions and information packages on ABI and related issues for volunteers, carers and service providers. Read more about our training.
Great Break Respite
This program provides family carers with one day program every 2nd month or alternatively one overnight program every 2nd month. Great Break respite is delivered over a weekend. The person with an ABI is able to choose a community access activity of personal interest and make a booking to attend. Bookings are essential.
Social Support Programs
Our Social Support Programs use recreational activities to promote development and maintenance of social skills. This helps people with ABI to improve access and participation in their community. Groups meet weekly in Morwell, Trafalgar, Warragul, Wonthaggi and Lakes Entrance. Read more.
Individual ABI Support Service
Headway Gippsland tailors individual support, including a comprehensive information and referral service, to the needs of a person with ABI. The service promotes and supports the person's independence in their own home and encourages families, carer and community participation.
Headway Gippsland Inc. is a Department of Human Services accredited service provider for Disability Support Programs.
Care Coordination And Management
This is a brokerage service that can be purchased by other organisations.
Carer Self Help Groups
Carers are encouraged to attend regular lunch meetings held in Trafalgar and Bairnsdale to discuss issues and share information about ABI. Read our list of upcoming events.
