Independent Living Skills Development And Training

The Independent Living Program aims to encourage and support independence and community participation for people with ABI. Participants are assisted to increase living and social skills so they can live as independently as possible in the community of their choice. One-on-one support and assistance is given within the home or in the community.

Care Coordination And Management

Care coordination and management is provided on a short-term basis while waiting for the outcome of a referral to a brokerage service. The aim is to link a comprehensive range of services for people with ABI with complex needs.

Brokerage Service

People with disabilities who are supported by insurance companies or are in receipt of individualised funding are able to purchase Headway Gippsland services including support workers to assist the person to live and participate as independently as possible in their community.

Headway Gippsland can administer the funding package on behalf of the client and also purchase services from other providers.

Individualised Support Packages

Individualised Support Packages are offered to people with disabilities via the Department of Human Services application process. The program provides workers to assist the person with ABI to live and participate as independently as possible in their community.
