Support us

Headway Gippsland Inc. provides programs and services to adults with an acquired brain injury and their families and carers, throughout Gippsland. Government funding covers some of the costs of providing these services but we rely on community support to meet the remaining costs.

As a not-for-profit community based organisation, community support is vital to ensure the future of our service. We value our community and we value your support. Your commitment as a community member can be shown in a number of important ways.

Membership

Being a Member of Headway Gippsland gives you the opportunity to have a voice within the organisation and influence decision-making. It also gives you the opportunity to:

  • be seen as a public supporter of Headway Gippsland
  • contribute to community change
  • subscribe to Headway Gippsland’s Annual Report and other relevant publications
  • participate in Headway Gippsland’s functions and community events
  • vote in Board elections.

As a Member you will receive occasional communication from Headway Gippsland about important information and events, particularly regarding the Annual General Meeting.

Becoming a Member of Headway Gippsland is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to make a real difference in a community organisation.

Donations and bequests

Donations

Donations to Headway Gippsland can be made to a particular program or to the entire organisation. Many donors choose to provide a general donation, which enables Headway Gippsland to use funds where they are needed most. All donations to Headway Gippsland over $2 are tax-deductible. Headway Gippsland provides written acknowledgement and a receipt for each donation.

Bequests

Many people choose to support their favourite charities by leaving a bequest in their Will. Donorations can take the form of a percentage of an estate or a fixed dollar amount. Another option is to name Headway Gippsland as a residuary beneficiary, leaving Headway Gippsland what remains after specific bequests to loved ones are paid. Funds can be left to a specific program or to the organisation as a whole.
