Volunteer with us

Volunteer in a social setting

Our volunteers play a crucial role in our social support groups across Gippsland.

They are not only there to lend a hand, but also they start conversations, offer companionship and share their skills with the group.

We have three social support groups across Gippsland that run for about five hours once a week.

Trafalgar – Monday
Morwell – Wednesday
Wonthaggi – Friday

The groups are interactive – the participants help design the activities based on their interests and goals.

Activities include crafts, cooking, guest speakers, barbecues, day trips in Gippsland, coffee catch-ups and much more.

Find more about our groups here.

Jim has volunteered in our Morwell group since early-2021.

“My wife died four and a half years ago … it gives me something to come and do instead of sitting around doing nothing. I get out and I thoroughly enjoy it.

“You can sit and talk to each participant and have a laugh.

“I wash up and at the end of the day, I sweep and clean, it’s a team effort.”
