We require staff to have:

  • Up-to-date CPR and First Aid.
  • As of 1 February 2021, The National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check) has started. All new workers in risk assessed roles for registered NDIS providers will need to get an NDIS Clearance before they can start work. For more information, visit vic.gov.au/ndis-worker-screening-check.
  • A Working with Children Check. You can apply for the fee to be waivered once the NDIS Check is done.

We cover Bass Coast, South Gippsland, West Gippsland, Latrobe, Sale, Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance regions.

Social Support Program Coordinator (Trafalgar) – casual

We are recruiting a Coordinator for the Social Support Program based in Trafalgar. This is a casual position and requires supervising and developing the program that meets once a week on a Monday. The Coordinator works alongside an assistant and volunteers.

Social Support Programs at Headway Gippsland are about promoting the development of participants’ social skills. They offer the opportunity for participants to be involved in community life by providing a range of enjoyable and meaningful activities.

Responsibilities include engaging participants and carers in the ongoing planning and review of the program, taking into account the diversity, needs and preferences of participants when planning activities.

The role requires a minimum of Certificate IV Community Services (Disability) or equivalent qualifications.

Life Skills Officers (from Warragul to Bairnsdale) – casual

We are seeking to recruit Life Skills Officers to support participants right across Gippsland. These are casual positions. Life Skills Officers offer our participants a supportive environment to reach their full potential.

Certificate IV Community Services (Disability) or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable. Applicants must have a current driver’s licence, up-to-date First Aid and CPR and a Working with Children Check.

We are seeking to recruit male Life Skills Officers to support male participants in Sale and Bairnsdale. These participants wish for male support workers.
