Headway Gippsland Inc.

Social support groups

What is a social support group?

They are fun and interactive social groups, created to bring about inclusion and a sense of belonging for all who participate.

The weekly routine of meeting with others in a supported space helps our participants to have positive experiences, learn new skills, make friends, and get out in the community.

We have 3 locations across Gippsland:

  • Morwell
  • Trafalgar
  • Wonthaggi

Everyone contributes their own ideas about what to do as a group.

You can use your NDIS plan to purchase your spot.

We welcome new participants from all backgrounds and abilities, and celebrate diversity in our groups.

We have well-trained staff and friendly volunteers in our programs.

For more information contact: intake@headwaygippsland.org.au

Our weekly activities include:

  • Catching up over coffee
  • Craft
  • Cooking
  • Games

  • Art
  • Barbecues
  • Day trips
  • Quizzes
  • And so much more!

Some happy snaps from our social support groups:

We pay our respects to the traditional custodians, their elders and ancestors of the lands, which our organisation sits. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and welcome you to our service. Headway Gippsland is committed to treating all people with dignity and respect.
