Who is eligible for the NDIS?
The NDIS is for people aged between 7 and 65 years old.
You need to live in Australia, and
or
- have a Permanent or Special Category Visa
You need to have a permanent and significant disability that affects everyday activities.
There is also early intervention eligibility to help those with a disability that is likely to be with them for life but could be improved with extra help.
Who decides who is eligible?
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) decides who is eligible for the scheme as they provide the NDIS.
