What is Support at Home?
Support at Home is the government’s new way of delivering care to help older Australians live independently at home for longer. While it aims to make care more consistent and transparent, many questions remain around how it will work in practice.
What we do know:
- It will replace the Home Care Packages program from 1 November 2025
- A new national service list will standardise what’s included
- Budgets will move to a quarterly structure, replacing daily subsidies
- Individual contributions will be more closely tied to services used

Headway Gippsland and Trilogy Care have partnered to ensure you have access to high-quality home care services via your Home Care Package. Home Care Packages are one of the ways that older Australians can access affordable care services to get some help at home.
For more than 43 years we have proudly supported older Australians and their families, and we are excited to offer this service!
Working with us and Trilogy Care means you will spend less time on Home Care Package management fees so you can spend more of your Home Care Package budget on the things that matter – care and services to help you stay at home longer.
The partnership with Headway Gippsland and Trilogy Care means you can receive Home Care Package management support and services from Headway Gippsland.
What is a Home Care Package?
A Home Care Package is a package of services provided by the Australian Government that supports you to live safely and independently in your own home.
Some things that can be funded under your Home Care Package include:
- Bathing, hygiene, and grooming
- Nursing
- Allied health services such as podiatry & physiotherapy
- Meal delivery and food preparation
- Home or garden maintenance
- Aids to stay independent
- Transport
- Social outings, groups, and visitors
- Care management
How can we help?
Our role is to support you in managing your home care so you can continue to live confidently in your home.
We’ll work with you to source services according to your personalised plan. We can also liase directly with Trilogy Care on administering your Home Care Package.
While you are working with your care coordinator, you have the freedom to contact your Trilogy Care care provider directly at any time or access your Home Care Package administration details via the Trilogy Care Portal.
